Epoxy resin
Epoxy was formulated in the early 1930’s. Present day chemical engineering has moved into a more varied type of Epoxy and a huge number of additives and formulatory ingredients are available today. These include 1 part heat cure Epoxy, 1 part solvented Epoxy, flexiblised Epoxy systems, Epoxy putties, UL approved / flame retardant Epoxy systems, low viscosity, high temperature and thixotropic Epoxy systems.Epoxy or polyepoxide is a thermosetting epoxide polymer that cures (polymerizes and crosslinks) when mixed with a catalyzing agent or "hardener". Most common epoxy resins are produced from a reaction between epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A. This gives an inherently rigid, long cure system with excellent chemical resistance, adhesion and thin film cure.
Greenfield Polymers is able to tailor make the product to suit an application. This has seen Greenfield Polymers products involved in a wide and varied use in the fields of encapsulation, coating, adhesives, sealants and castings for over 20 years.
