Properties

Casting / Moulding – The Thermoset family of Polyurethane, Epoxy and Silicone are generally supplied as a two liquid components. When mixed together at room temperature they react to create a solid. This is unlike the thermoplastic family, which is a solid one component, requiring heat in order to melt, pressure injection to process and a suitable and generally expensive tool. Thermosets are therefore ideal for low to medium production runs, one off design specials, difficult shapes, widely varying product ranges and incorporation with other medias to form one single product.

Coating / Laminating – The thermoset family of Polyurethane Epoxy and Silicone can be used as a coating / laminating media in numerous applications ranging from less than 1mm thickness to metres. Whether it is a binder, adhesive, protective coating, decorative coating, anti slip coating, demarcation coating there is a product to suit. Due to the versatile nature of our products it can be altered to suit including reaction tack free times, flow properties etc. The final properties can also be offered to include a desired hardness, elastomeric / rubber, rigid plastic, high working temperature. Finishes can include pigmentation to requirement including metal, crystal clear, fluorescent and glow in the dark.

Encapsulating - the need to encapsulate to protect, improve visually or locate a product has always been a requirement in the decorative / design Architectural industry. However the product is to be used it provides numerous benefits including ease of application, processing and longevity.
